Before using Finasteride |

Some medical conditions may interact with Finasteride . Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you: |

- if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
- if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
- if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
- if you have any urinary blockage or obstruction
|

|
|
|
|
Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Finasteride. However, no specific interactions with Finasteride are known at this time. |
|
|
|
|
|
Ask your health care provider if Finasteride may interact with other medicines that you take. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine. |

|
|
|
How to use Finasteride |
|
|
|
|
|
Use Finasteride as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions. |
|
|
- An extra patient leaflet is available with Finasteride . Talk to your pharmacist if you have questions about this information
- Take Finasteride by mouth with or without food
- It may take 3 months or more of daily therapy with Finasteride to begin to see results. It can only work over the long term if you continue taking it
- Finasteride will not work faster or better if you take it more than once a day
- If you stop taking Finasteride , you will gradually lose the hair you have gained within 12 months of stopping treatment
- If you miss a dose of Finasteride , take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once
